Yesterday marked four weeks since Dwayne was admitted to the hospital. After two weeks there, he was transferred to a skilled nursing facility. He is making progress, but it is slow. Feeling and strength are coming back to his legs, but he can not bear weight at this time. The PT is using a standing table for him everyday. He is standing-with support for about 11 minutes. He has three more radiation treatments that should end on Monday. Tuesday he will be admitted to the hospital and get his second round of chemotherapy.
Today we have a progress meeting with the rehab team to see where he is on meeting his goals and setting some new ones. We would appreciate your prayers.
We have been blessed by so many people in the past month, I couldn't list everything. Thanks to all of you whom we call family and friends!
Thank you for the update. Was just asking the Lord earlier in the week how you both were.
ReplyDeleteLord, thank You for Your faithfulness and that You for enabling medicine which can do much. Yet our hope is in You. It will all be by Your grace, provision and power. Thank You for Your strength for this journey. Holy Spirit pour in more! Living Water, in You is life! You pour down from the throne of God because Jesus died and rose. Living Water, Dwayne and Lisa ate your vessels. Pour in according to Your promises for Your faithful and refresh as only You can. Come and be the Healer and Restorer You are for Dwayne. Astound the medical community. Cause all who see Dwayne to realize through his journey that You are real stirring up a hunger that causes them to seek and find You for themselves. Lord God You waste kot hi ing. We are calling forth Your eternal good th rough this. Through Lisa and Dwayne's reliance on You heal His body and bring many souls to You. Your are the only One upon whom we can rely. We won't stop praying until Your magnificent answer has manifested in fullness. Only You are Savior and Lord God. In Jesus' name amen. (From Elizabeth Burgard Fulgaro NU '76. Be assured prayers are continuing)
